Full Introduction
The New York City’s economy suffered terrible setbacks after the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center. The attacks resulted in the loss of thousands of jobs, due to layoffs from business sectors whose profit margins tumbled or were completely wiped out. The hardest hit businesses were those in the travel and tourism industry, particularly hotels and restaurants (Parrott, 2001).
