Full Introduction
PERSUASIVE [ARGUMENTATIVE] ESSAY
It is well-documented fact that children are very impressionable, which means that they soak up whatever images and ideas the adult world throw at them, and hold these images and ideas as what is normal and proper. It is also a well-documented fact that children exposed to violence have a tendency to be aggressive and tend to have little feeling of sympathy for those who suffer. Because children are at a stage where they often cannot accurately distinguish between fact and fiction, they may develop unhealthy life habits such as smoking, drinking or engage in early sexual misconducts. Worse yet, as in the case of the television, children tend to get hooked, immersing themselves in television programs rather than actively experiencing life itself. Video games only add to these problems. In sum, video games promote violence and aggressiveness among children, reduce their capacity to enjoy healthful activities and destroy family interaction.
