Full Introduction
There is no doubt that the world has been transformed by globalization in terms of how people interact with one another and do business. Because globalization has as one of its key objectives, the bringing together of diverse groups of people for the common goal of improving the economic, social and political conditions of the world’ population, leaders need to implement strategies that will undercut inherent sources of division that have contributed to many social problems such as poverty, economic inequalities, racism, sexism and global warfare. If we are to achieve stability in the modern era, we need to modify the current school system because it is through the educational system that core values are transmitted to people. In this essay, I will show that the current school is responsible for cultural transmission and that, in its current form, it is inadequate to address the needs of people in an increasingly global society.
